Never Dull Productions
EDGY SPORTS LLC Never Dull Productions has a long-standing commitment to the subject of disability -- both within the entertainment industry as well as the world of sports - most notably reflected in our multi-year involvement with the Paralympics.

Most importantly, “Sled Shots,” - the feature-length story of the 2002 United States Paralympic Sled Hockey Team and its quest for the gold medal at the Salt Lake Games is presently being shopped in both the domestic and international broadcast marketplace.

As noted on the TV-Film projects page, the company recently licensed and aired the BBC-produced 2008 Paralympic World on ESPNU.

In an effort to bring U.S. broadcast programming of disabled and adaptive sports on par with what exists in other parts of the world, in 2009, Edgy Sports plans to initiate a variety of sponsor-supported projects - including broadcast and web coverage of live and taped international sporting events, TV specials, news features and videos.

Disabled sports footage shot by Never Dull Productions was used extensively in the A&E special of the “2002 Paralympic Games” - a series of broadcasts hosted by Harry Smith and Joan Lunden. The company’s footage has also appeared on CBS, A&E, CNN, ESPN, WNET, Prime Sports, several international outlets and has been used by the United States Olympic Committee and the Canadian Paralympic Committee to promote their athletes with disabilities.
Never Dull Productions was hired by VSA, a Washington-based, Kennedy Center-associated non-profit to shoot its 1999 Art & Soul Festival. The event drew musicians, singers, dancers, comedians, performers, painters and sculptors with disabilities from around the world for a four-day extravaganza hosted by Anthony Edwards and Marlee Matlin.

In March of 1998, Never Dull traveled to Nagano, Japan to film the 1998 Winter Paralympic Games for the United States Olympic Committee.

Prior to the formation of the company, the partners were the only U.S. independent video producers at the 1994 Paralympic Games in Lillehammer, Norway and one of the few at the 1992 Barcelona Paralympic Games.

Portions of this footage was used by the partners to produced a promotion video for a major prosthetic maker.

In related endeavors, Never Dull covered the trials for the first US National Junior sled hockey team and was invited to shoot at NHL alum Stan Mikita’s hockey camp established to teach deaf and hearing-impaired children. This camp also serves as the trials for the U.S. Deaflympics team that goes on to compete internationally.

The company has published two stories on the subject of disability - the first for Back Stage West magazine on disabled actors and stunt people with disabilities; and the second on arena accessibility for both athletes and fans for Amusement Business magazine.
